For Immediate Release
February 20th, 2002
Metro today announced that it is launching a ‘Batten-Less” version of its increasingly popular Metro Shake panel. This NEW stone-coated steel panel will be marketed as Metro Shake-II and be offered as an addition to the existing Metro panel line-up. All Metro literature carries the message that reads, “Metro Roof Products redefines roofing through smart product design and speed of innovation”. This seemingly simple yet demanding standard is what Metro has built its reputation around, and the company’s latest product achievement meets that goal.
The uniqueness of the “Batten-Less” Metro Shake-II panel is its extra long back flange, angled nose sections which allow for easy side-to-side interlock and securing to a solid sheathed roof deck. It is these attributes coupled with a deep grain rib surface that have prompted Metro’s General Manager, Joe Wilson to comment. “We believe that our NEW Metro Shake-II panel will accelerate the learning curve of roofing contractors, while at the same time help to increase their productivity.”
The NEW Metro Shake-II ‘Batten-Less’ panel helps round-out the Metro product line-up, and is a perfect fit with the existing family of Metro Tile, Metro Shake and the low profile direct-to-deck installed Metro Shingle panel. Metro Shake-II will be available by late February 2002 and be offered in the current Metro Shake color range. Check with your local distributor for more details.
